Hey y’all, Anna here!
Recently, I took a trip to Evergreen Lake for some ice skating, and it was an amazing experience! I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys skating or just wants to try something new. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, the lake was surrounded by mountains and pine trees making the experience so amazing. The lake itself is huge, offering plenty of space to skate without feeling crowded.
If ice skating isn’t your thing, there are other fun activities at Evergreen Lake, including sledding and ice fishing. One thing I will say-dress in layers. It was freezing outside, but waiting inside the lodge to get my admission ticket was surprisingly hot due to the crowd. It was $15 for admission and an additional $5 if you rented ice skates.
I picked up ice skating as a hobby about a year ago, and ever since, I’ve developed a huge appreciation for the sport. I’ve taken a few lessons here and there, but for the most part, I love going to public skates with friends or even solo to just mess around on the ice. So far, I’ve learned a few spins and how to transition between my inside and outside edges, but I still have a long way to go. My goal is to keep improving my skills and building confidence on the ice!
If you’ve ever been to Evergreen Lake or have any favorite skating spots, let me know—I’d love to check them out!
